Ive just treated myself to an Xbox 360 Elite. Bought Call of Duty 2 and also the Forza Motorsport 3 games. Have to say COD is incredible, albeit its not the sort of game i'd normally buy and i cant get used to all the bloody different buttons etc!

But what i really want is a driving game that has the full Nurburgring circuit on it - can anyone advise if there is such a game and if so whats the best one??

GT5 when it comes out,i heard its about 1 inch out on the whole track

Forza has the full nordschlieffe mate, but you won't see it in any events for quite a while!

There is a quick play option on which you can choose the full circuit or any of about three or four shortened sections.

When I have time and if noone else mentions it first, I'll give you some more detail!

Any plans to play online? If so -Paul- and I both play a fair bit of forza, albeit seperately up to now for some reason :-)

Just done a search on youtube and noticed that Forza 3 has the Ring!! To be fair i have only played it literally once and didnt notice the full circuit was available to play.

What im looking for is a game (maybe Forza 3 has it??) where i can just do a timed lap of the FULL Ring circuit NORTH LOOP and NOT GP circuit - dont really care what car just want to do laps of the Ring. Wanting as "real life" a game as possible.

Is GT5 and Need For Speed Shift an Xbox game or PS3 etc?? Im really new to all this as you can probably tell!!!

In everyones opinion - WHICH is the best Nurburgring game for graphics, reality etc for Xbox 360? Wanting only the Northern Loop and not the GT circuit.

Steve, I reviewed games for a living once and I'm making my own site as we speak.

In my opinion it doesn't get better than Forza, GT5 will struggle no matter what the fanboys tell you.

In either case, Need for Speed doesn't even come close to realistic handling. The 135 feels like an Ice Skate - direct comparison with Forza is nonexistant. In Forza, it does handle at least a little bit like an actual 1 series.

Ok - so you are saying that Forza is my best option for the best Ring game. But which one?? I have the latest Forza 3 - is this the best game - or is Forza 2 better??

Also - on Forza 3 - is there any way i can just go straight into doing a simple lap of the full Ring circuit?? Or do i have to play the full game and battle my way through different other circuits/stages to get to the Ring??

Finally - im not getting on very well with the controller that came in the box! Can you recommend a steering wheel that will work with these games??

GT5 when the get round to releasing it (delayed till march now) will only be available on the Playstation platform I have the Official Wireless Force Feedback Wheel which is great for Driving games if you get a good base to clamp it to don't improve my times but alot more fun than the controller

Forget the Xbox and buy GTR Evolution for PC complete with a Logitech G25 wheel (or G27)

Forza 3 ring is great and Tony said it is pretty accurate. I can't comment as I've not driven the ring. You should be able to do hotlaps around it in any car of your choice.

Thanks NFS - not sure if its just the bad quality of the vid but the graphics dont look as good as Xbox - but maybe thats not a good representation?? Also, i want the Northern Loop without the GP part of the circuit and it seems a lot of the games only have parts of the North Loop etc.

The MS one is ok - I have it. Pick it up pretty much anywhere. The Logitech wheels do not work on the 360 unless they have the official xbox logo. Both my Logitech Momo and the Logitech G25 do not work on the 360.

Graphics aren't the point surely. The physics on GTR are more realistic than anything else. Still, GTR evolution looks pretty damn good in my opinion:

I have the official Xbox 360 wireless racing wheel. It works very well with Forza 2 - so I would suspect that it is equally capable with Forza 3.

The wireless feature is nice - although it still needs to be plugged into the mains for the force feedback.
