Local pickup is fine.
It's pretty acurate as long as you setup the proper weight of your car.

i have the same one and its pretty accurate i tested it at famoso and it was always very very close! like 12.130 on time slip and 12.125-35 on the belkin and i didnt have to put my cars weight in
