Laser Eye Surgery
I've been having problems with my continuous wear contact lenses for about 6 months now - I've had the lenses that you keep in for a month and sleep in them and after 10 years trouble free, they've basically worn out my eyelids
I couldn't wear them anymore and my only option was goggles or daily disposable lenses. I've had the dailies for a couple of weeks now and it's just not cricket not being able to see when you wake up so I've got fed up with them very quickly! So, I decided to check out laser eye surgery and went for a consultation at Ultralase today. I've decided to take the risk and go ahead with it...they did a good deal on one of their premium procedures and gave me 4 years interest free so they're only costing me £50 per month more than my contact lenses were! They reckon the procedure I've gone for will give me better than 20:20 vision and totally eliminate any sort of dazzle at night so in effect give me better vision than would be possible without any form of surgery! Let's hope I get to 'see' what I'm paying for With no hanging about, I'm having it done next Saturday so as long as they don't make me blind I'll update on the results! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous though....... |

Good luck mate, hope you didnt go with those companies who offer.
''Get one done, get the other free'' as i dont think their trustworthy. A few of us had a conversion about laser eye surgery in May at the ring trip, biscuits had it done and it was successful, he did say though he would never ''Reccomend'' it to anyone, that it is their decision whether they should go ahead with it.

I took the plunge and had it done about 8 or 9 years ago. One of the best things I've done and don't regret it for one minute.
Good luck & keep us posted with the results! What's your current prescription?

I've heard some very positive reports about laser palm surgery. In most cases they can restore your palms to incredible levels of smoothness, meaning an end to daily shaving.

My palms are very smooth, a side effect was growing large breasts on my back.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has the same concerns as me, I'm blind as a bat myopically, 5.25 and 4.5 for those that know/care about grades of short sightedness.
However my corrected sight (with daily lenses) is awesome, my optician says I'm faintly freakish in how my good my sight is with correction, for instance I see things so much better than my wife ie road signs, and she has according her optician 20/20 ish sight. I therefore really don't want to spend money on laser surgery to end up with increased convenience, but lesser sight, anyone else had this problem? |

It seems to be able to clear drains quite effectively.

Good Luck I had mine done at Optical Express in Novemeber first month I was like "what the hell " as vision when from great to terrible - especially at night , mainly as my eyes had to adjust to actually working unlike before when glasses helped.
Now nearly 3 month sin in I got perfect vision its great, though when tired / dehydred I do find the vision gets worse, I suppose side affect of no longer having glasses to do the work for you either way its a great thing to do
