Official price quote on 19" style 230 rims and tires.
I emailed the local BMW parts dept. in inquiry about the 3 coupes style 230 wheels. Here is the response.
Hello, The wheels are offered in two sizes, 8x19 and 9x19 with the later for the rear only. Tire sizes are 225/35r19 on the front and 255/30r19 on the rear. Here are the BMW part numbers and prices for each. Thanks, Frank 1. 36-11-6-774-724 8x19 rim $505.00ea 2. 36-11-6-774-725 9x19 rim $485.00ea 3. 36-11-0-420-819 225/35r19 Bridgestone REO50A RFT $489.00ea 4. 36-11-0-420-820 355/30r19 Bridgestone REO50A RFT $575.00ea |

That sounds about right becoming from BMW. The 199's I have and the 179's that look somewhat similar where both about $4500 direct from BMW (wheels and tires). That's why I waited for them to start hitting the open market before I bought a set. Waiting saved me about 45-50%

I suggest you ask your local guys to match the 80% of MSRP (Circle) or 75% of MSRP (Chapman BMW Wheels) pricing currently available.
http://www.circlebmw.com/parts/rim.htm http://www.bmwheels.com/ TireRack does not have any ideal 19" tires though. |

Very similar pricing to what my BMW dealer quoted me. They wanted $4,895 for the entire set w/ tires, + $120 to install them. They have 1 set in stock, and I went and looked at them in person, very nice. Still deciding on that vs. the factory 190 radial spokes... same price...

The best solution that I have found for 230s is to order the rims from Circle BMW (or get your dealer to match their price!), and put Michelin PS2 non-rfts on from Tire Rack.
19" style 230 $404/$408 = $1624 235/35ZR19 $283.00 265/30ZR19 $309.00 = $1184 Total = $2808 + shipping (gasp -- better get a good price for your OEMs on Ebay...) |
