Service Surveys
What is the point of these surveys you get to fill out? You go to the dealership, then you get an email from the service adviser that day warning you of a survey coming and to fill it our favorably. What if your adviser did a great job, but other spects of the service department are lacking? He tells me, although not all questions partain to him personally, but all effect his well being. Kind of a lot of pressure. If I have issues with my dealer and I can not be honest on a survey rating there performance then what is the point?

My mom gets these from Honda and the service people tell her the same thing. She just fills it out truthfully. If they did something wrong, she puts it on the survey. The reason they want you to say everything is cool is because BMWNA will call them out on it if something was not done to your liking. It is a way for BMWNA to keep the bad dealers in line and make sure every BMW owner is getting the service they deserve.
If you lie on the survey and say that they all did a great job then you might as well not even fill it out.

I agree that there is no point in lying on the survey, be honest and tell them if there was a problem. In my case, I usually have good things to say about the techs and the work itself, usually. However, the service manager is another story, he does not know his job nor BMW cars very well, not impressed, and when he tells me either in person or via e-mail to give him a good survey, in my head I am thinking, yeah right!
