I live about a mile away from Woodford which keeps getting mentioned on the news. It was -17.6 there this morning. A bit more built-up where I live so not quite to bad. The car measured -14 as I got into work today (wow, actually managed to move the Beemer, took quite some effort) at about 10am.
Apparently the official thermometer in Woodford is on the runway of it's tiny airfield (next to BAE) where there's nothing around for quite some distance so it's obviously going to be colder there any anywhere else; a bit misleading really (unless all the other official sites are in similar locations).

Thats global warming for you. If we hadnt left our tellys on standby for the last few years and boiled the kettle once less each day it would have been -30!

The second bit states that because of global warming caused by leaving your telly on standby etc the low temperature was warmer than it otherwise would have been. Pay attention. |

My cars have been tucked away in my garage ever since Wednesday afternoon, safe and sound
My work-bitch comes and picks me up and takes me to work in his 4x4, sorted!
