Colorado Buyers?

Has anyone on here purchased a 330 yet?

Did you do better than $945 off MSRP? If so, where?

Thanks

Hey there! Just joined and can give you some helpful advice on this one. What I've found is that most of the BMW dealers on the Front Range are not very agressive, I've been working with Gebhardt in Boulder and they're giving me the best deal, but it took me saying "here's what I want and here's what I'll pay" before i got anywhere.
I'm just getting ready to order a pretty well loaded 330 and now I'm just waiting to see where I'll be moving to see if I really need the xi.
Good Luck!

I ended up buying from Co's in Loveland. I didn't go balls out for the best deal but I got about $1500 off MSRP. I've been very satisfied with their customer service and mnx department. None of that better than you attitude.

I'm sure you can find a horror story about every dealer if you look hard enough, but man did I just get jerked around by Schomp. It seems that when you put money down on a car that they have found for you, that's only just a "suggestion" that you'll get that car. And if they sell it to somebody else, and you have to wait, pay more, and pay for a rental car, that's perfectly OK.
I'm patiently waiting for my 335i coupe from Kentucky to show up. Had I know how to search other dealer's inventory before the vehicle left Kentucky I would have bought the car from another dealership myself. They say it's too late now. I guess the whole "deposit means the deal is done" only goes in the dealer's favor.
My only recourse and comfort is to ask as many people as possible to buy anywhere else. Oh, and when you see a Slate Gray 335i with "Schomp: Liars and Cheats" on magnetic door signs, wave hello. That's me.

I was very happy with Co's in Loveland. Sorry about the crap that happened to you.

More than a year after I started this thread, I finally ordered mine on 11/8. Heard about the 335 coming out and knew it would tarnish my feelings for a 330, so I went almost a year without a BMW of my own (sold my E36 M3/4 last Nov but wife has an X5). Horrible wait but should be worth it in the end.

E90 335i, Monaco Blue, Lemon/Blk, 6sp, ZSP,ZPP, CA, Htd Seats, Fldg Rear Seats, Sat Radio.

Cool and congrats! Nice color combo from what I have seen in pics. Don't forget the snow tires unless you just plan on driving the X5. When do you receive it? I keep going back and forth whether or not to trade mine up on a 335i or wait for the new M3 . . .

It's suppose to be finnished 11/17, 3-4 weeks to get to San Diego and then the trip to Colorado, so somewhere either side of New Years if things go smoothly.

I've been looking at rims online for snows and possibly using the same rims for autox tires. Really don't want to race around on runflats, way too expensive. I also don't see myself having 2 extra sets of rims and tires laying around the house due to cost. I probably won't be able to get the best rims for the job of autoxing, but it will be more practicle, and I'm out there for the fun anyway.

I ordered a second set of 162's for snows from bmwwheels.com (actually, I got my dealer to match their price and bought from the dealer.) I think a good deal are the 18" CSL replicas from modbargins.com and would probably do that if I had to do it over again.

You seriously plan on autoxing your 335i? I finally got mine on the track this fall and it did really well, but it is heavy and has no limited slip and that limits the fun factor.

Did you buy the extra 162's staggered or not? I was thinking that I would get the same all around for the extra set. Figured that even for track use the smaller rears would help get rid of some oversteer. I was considering getting 17's as well, although I really like the look of 18's.

I really missed autoxing this last year. Probably do a driving school with the BMWCCA as well. I will admit that the limited slip on my M3 made it easier to put power down, but I had a lot of fun autoxing with my old E36 325i convertible as well. Guess I'll have to learn to be light on the throttle on the sharp corners since the 335 has 110-115hp more than the 325iC had. I remember how easy it was to spin the inside tire even with 189hp. Wish the 335 had some type of competition mode for the DSC, just have to see how it goes.

Yes. And my snow tires are staggered in size as well. I think you want the extra width for the wider tire for autox/track. Snow tires, well, not, but what the heck.

THe 330i was actually well balanced on the track. I could easily rotate the rear and got myself into some trouble a couple of times by using trail braking like I do in my E30 M3 and rotated the rear a bit too much! I think you'll see more understeer issues autox'ing than on the track and you'll definitely notice the weight. Power management could be a real problem, we'll see.

I hope you do come out to a driving school, I am an instructor in the club so look for me. I'll probably bring the 330i out again in the spring-trying to kill the runflats so I can buy some PS2's!

I meant to write understeer, my fingers just didn't get the message.

I do keep forgetting how much power the car is going to have. Didn't really push too hard on the E92 I test drove. Since the most powerful car I've ever owned was my M3 at 240hp, it will probably take a bit to realize that my foot doesn't have to press so hard to get moving.

I can hardly wait to get my car and really looking forward to getting it out on a track. The last driving school I went to was at 2nd Creek the last time the RMC ran a school there. Have never been to the Pueblo track, so I look forward to that.
