Whats the fastest car you have ever owned?
Mine is definitely the 335i.
Interested to hear from people who have owned quick cars in the past and have downgraded. |

Between;
- Cayman S - remapped 330d - remapped Volvo S60R All quick in their own rights, the Cayman easily the quickest overall including bends The 330d easily the most effortless The Volvo the most savage - very aggressive remap made it a very quick beast |

I guess it's the Masser but the 335i is a close second (I think) and easily the best car I've ever owned.

Both my old E39 M5 and current E46 M3 are similar in the performance stakes. Neither of them could hold a candle to my old STI 5 Type R Impreza in the acceleation stakes. Having said that, I know which marque I prefer! My GTR33 V-Spec was pretty quick, but unusually it was standard, so in reality it was slower than any of the 3 mentioned above.

Standard I presume? With alot less HP At the wheels, I cant see it being quicker.
For me the fastest car I have owned is my current re-mapped 335d.

Owned?
My remapped 320d Ahh but I be only 23. This will change! I hope.. Assuming no unforseen circumstance changes, I'd like my next car to either be the new M1 thats planned for 2011, or a Cayman S or similar. Either will be hinged on a purchase around my 25th birthday, so they are actually insurable. 20 months and counting

Z3M roadster and current mapped 330d, both limited to 155mph. used to ride bikes though and had a stint with a zzr1100, good for 180mph ish.

Modded 350Z. Wasnt the fastest car in the world, but C4 vettes couldnt handle her. I liked that car even tho there are a lot of haters for it.

In terms of top speed that would be my Ferrari 348ts
In terms of car that could be driven fastest (say, along a twisting back road) that would be my old Impreza. Put them on a straight, dry runway, the Ferrari would walk it. Throw in some inclement weather and heavy bendage and the Ferrari would not see which way the scoob went.....
