Dinan Dealer/Reseller in Washington or Portland?
Can you guys recommend a good Dinan Reseller or ideally a sales person in or around the Seattle Area? If not in Seattle, I'm will to drive for a good deal. Does anyone know any parts person at a Dealer/Reseller that can get a good deal?
I prefer to do business base on community recommendations. I've contact Strictly BMW here in Bellevue and they only want to sell at MSRP. I've been hearing people have been able to get 15 - 25 percent off Dinan stuff. Any leads would rock.

I think you'll have better luck if you try BMW Seattle or Northwest BMW locations. I think that all the other independents are just certified distributors. And I believe that BMW Seattle and NW BMW are the actual Dinan shops. Let me know if you're gonna go buy some stuff. Maybe if we buy together we can get a better deal. Anyone else interested??

So far there are only two Dinan dealer that I kw in the area. One is BMW of Seattle and the other is the Strictly BMW in Bellevue. But Strictly BMW does charge way too much, so I would say to for BMW of Seattle.

I think you should be able to get a 10% discount at the dealership as well if you are a CCA member. (I did last week when I bought 2 quarts of 10-60 TWS Castrol). I believe you will get the discount on Dinan parts as well...but you should call to make sure.

BMW Car Club of America...It's only $48/year to join and if you ever buy a new or cpo'd car from a BMW dealership you get $500-1000 (depends on the model) back from the CCA. It's a great deal...I already got $500 back on my 335i I had a few years ago..that alone is worth the membership. Plus there are all sorts of other benefits (discounts at the parts dept for one!), access to the local race tracks and high speed driving schools, etc. Not to mention a monthly subscription to "Roundel"...one of the best BMW magazines out there, written by real enthusiasts.
Join it, you won't regret it. |

Portland: I believe that Pete Perez @ Rasmussen BMW is the most knowledgable in the Portland/Oregon area. I don't know if he would give you a "deal" or not. The BMW CCA discount is your best bet. Dinan also runs discounts/rebates every once in awhile. You should know that it has taken some forum members up to 6 months to recieve the rebate. You could PM GregW on his experience with Pete and Rasmussen.

Definitely come see us here in PDX, the savings on sales tax alone should make it worth the trip. We've done some pretty cool work in the last few months too including a full build on a 135i, a new M3 and a few other projects. |
