2000km service update

Had my car in for its 2000km service/inspection yesterday and when I picked it up the service manager said 'you'll probablt notice a difference in how she performs now'. I said 'how so' and he said 'should accelerate harder and change gears in S4-S6 much more aggressively'. As soon as I left the dealer I accelerated hard to 8000rpm in second and third in S5 and just about snapped my neck off and this was on a 32 degree day!!! WHAT AMAZING CARS WE HAVE.... Can't wait to see what she is capable when the temp is like 10 degrees on an early winter morning.

Then get out there, man! It took me about three weeks. After the service it was like another car when you finally take it to 8000rpm.

Actually, this is not BS....when I first wound it out to 8000 in 2nd I had the windows down and the build up of air pressure in the cabin damn near popped my ears!!

Second that!!! Actually attemted to do a Launch the other day. Did everything right up until I let go of the lever and then for some reason I ended up in a cloud of tire smoke. Was fun, but I was looking for a little more forward movement..... I think it was becasue I hesitated when I first put my foot on the throtle but the revs still sat at about 5500rpm when it was fully depressed so thought everything was ok, but I let the gear chabge lever go and all I felt apart from a shit load of engine noise was the rear end moving to one side and alot of smoke in the rear vision. Will have to have another attempt soon.

Hopefully the same way as you did before, love the smell of revs and smoke in the morning.

I think I read somewhere in the manual that the road surface should have a bit of decent grip to prevent the spin out. I'm going to wait till I have a few mm left on the PS2's, find a quiet straight country road and smoke it!

The so called run-in 2k service is free including a loan car. That's where it all stops. In WA we've got some Jack-ass service advisor in the only dealership and it's all about making money ... no customer service whatsoever. The aftersales manager is a real moran.

The aftersales manager didn't have the balls to stand up and defend Marco. It's Auto Classic's loss. You could get anything (after market mods) done through Marco. Except for Kim and Martyn the rest are new to the brand and wouldn't have a clue as to what we're talking about.
There use to be a dealer goodwill when the car was out of warranty and anything mechanical which clearly was not customers' fault was covered. But it's no longer there instead you need to pay for the labour while dealer covered the parts. Guess what, the labour charges are five times the cost of the parts ... money grabbing SoB's.
