M body-kit

Is it possible to change bodykit from x6m to a regular x6 50i? Did anybody think about it?

Thanks

I guess it is,but....you need to change exhaust and aluminnium things below your doors(running boards),if you oredered them separatly..also you will not have fog lights anymore..

I think that BMW will very soon make an M BODY KIT for civil version..like on series 5 or X5...

Hi. Do you still want to do this change? Would you like to swap parts from a brand new X6? I will take delivery of mine soon.

And why do you want to do this anyway?

I think the guy is just asking if it is possible to fit an M body kit to a regular X6...not that he has an X6M and wants to take the body parts off. Who wants to do that anyway

Anyway, it is a good question to begin with. i plan to do this to min immediately i get it in July. Changing the front and back bumpers and the rear exhaust is actually the easy part. The tough part is the Active cruise control.

The X6M does not have Active cruise control with STOP and GO function and so it will be a gamble if this can be transferred correctly. But i will give it a try anyway.

I suggest you consider the newly announce BMW performance parts for the X6...the aerodynamic kit looks really cool, especially the front bumper, which I kinda of like more than the M power one.

Why would you even do this? It makes no sense. if you have an M why make it look like a lesser version?

Its a good point my man. especially for the front bumper. I would go for the M bumper for the back anyway for sure so that i can have the quad pipes.

I have a 535d now with M5 back bumper and quad pipes and it is very nice.

LOL....yeah sure fell into it. I would get the new performance bumper, not the M bumper itself. I was going for the Hamann M bumper which is very aggressive and has some led's also...but the fact that its around $3500 is making me think twice. This new option seems a lot more worth it and I can spend what I saved on the steering wheel and the performance upgrade.

If you want to do such conversion, I would recommend contacting Paul at MStyle (www.mstyle.co.uk) - they do such conversions for 3,5,6 series. I am sure they can help you with your conversion.

I'd rather go for an AC Schnitzer wider body kit

Thanks. But thats where I am doing my conversion.

The only thing i do worry about is the Active Cruise Control. It will be a challenge. If the radar 'ball'is the same as that on the normal cruise control with STOP function, then it shouldnt be a problem, because i believe the X6M has this? or not?
