so I was in a retal going to orlando on turnpike ( BTW they change me the crappy focus for a PT cruiser

so I was on the highway and I was distracting talking w my mom and I miss the sign on the highway that says"air patrol zone" and I did not slow down at all, so sonderly I got pull over by a cop.

he was YOU WERE GOING AT 100 MPH !! DID YOU REALLISE THAT !!! but I kindly reply to the question with "with all do respect officer, doesn't answering your question open me up to self incrimination?? at that moment he got piss as hell

he was "Answer me !!!!" you are going to JAIL !!! and I say "I allready did", he got even more piss off and repeat answer ME !!! and I told him ok I have the right to remain silence. and he told me you smart ass, this is no a crime and you are not in court are you stupid ??? did you went to law school ??? you don't know anything about traffic laws, and I told him, No officer but I know my rights, and he screem at me give me your licence and registration .

if I catch you going faster than the speed limit you are going to jail !!! and he throws me the licence and the registration and left really piss he even spin his tires (mormaly they wait for you to get intro the highway)

I was like WOW I just save my ass ! :rocks:

I call one of my friends dad that he is a sheriff and he told me that the cop did not give me the ticket or took me to jail because I did not incriminate my self and because there were not using a high accuracy device like the radar/laser gun they ask you that type of questions so you can confirm that you were speeding. if not they can't give you a ticket, because you can easy win on court beacause there are many factors that can alter their speed mesuament like the speed of the plane, visibility and the accuracy of measuremt the time

I own a Bel rx65 but they were not using radars, they were using a plane and they put 2 marks on the floor and they meassure how fast you go from point A to point B and they make some calculations and it give them an average. there is no way any radar can save your ass in that situation

. I guess the only thing will be a police scaner, so you can hear what they say.

there were using the same sytem and I was also in a rental in fact PT too

Nice...how much did you pay for your lawyer for that? If you don't want to mention it, feel free to PM me. Maybe I should have done that when I got a ticket up in Alachua county but I just did the traffic school

$75 + the $180 court charges NO points and NO school :rocks: and less than the original ticket that was $388 but that is if you are in miamidade country that is were he work my dad got a ticket here in broward and he change us $95 so it guess that it depends on the case and were it was committed , he is so good that I got the money from the crappy installation that MTC racing did to my ACS front lip + 200 compesation money, (they broke a little piece from my body kit ) he charge me $90

guys just remember when initially pulled-over, keep both of your hands and your passengers' in plain view. place them high on-top of the steering wheel.

This serves to let the approaching officer that you're not a potential threat. A number of officers have expressed sincere gratitude for taking their feelings into consideration.

If pulled over at night, turn the interior lights on and roll down all windows so that officer can clearly see inside your vehicle. This will also serve to lesson tensions.

If asked why stopped, don't lie or make up some excuse they hear this all the time; don't be a whiner. Since answering in the affirmative to speeding is paramount to self incrimination - that's why they ask - kindly reply to the question with something like "with all do respect, doesn't answering your question open me up to self incrimination?"

Well that cop sounds like a jerk anyway.

I know that once my parents got a ticket for speeding from a cop and they went to court over it and got off because the officer didn't use any method for tracking their speed, just pulled them over and tried to get them to confess to speeding. So yes, if a cop ever asks you "Do you know how fast you were going", just keep your mouth shut.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows this though.
