Powdercoat 162's gunmetal?

Was wondering how it would look to powdercoat my 162's gunmetal. I did that to my previous car, an integra type r. My car is jet black and am really considering it. what do you all think?

I think it's all in the prep.

If you do a half-ass paint job, it'll look like just that. Go and have them painted by a qualified shop, and they should look great.

What about even a bronze rim? A bit more of the tuner look, but a modded black car would look great with them.

Part of my wheels are gunmetal. It's kinda hard to see, but check out the link of my car. Scroll down for more pics.

What about the small silver ring around the BMW center cap (not the chrome ring, the silver ring beyond the chrome ring at the very edge)? The sliver around the BMW roundel itself. Don't forget to take care of that too otherwise it might look out of place.

Just don't wash them for a while, and they'll turn gunmetal grey naturally (brake dust)!! J/J...

I say go for it.

I think they would look great, go for it!

Can any photoshoppers make a sneak preview? I'd try, but I only know how to use MSPaint.

Let me know if you find a decent shop in Seattle/Bellevue area. I'm thinking about doing a custom finish on some CSLs. I was just going to start at some of the body shops close to my work, but I have a feeling they'll charge monster dollars for such a small project.

I think it's cause the photoshop was done in a matte dark gray. I don't know about the OP, but when I think of gunmetal wheels, I tend to picture some of BBS's darker variety finishes.
