330i with winter wheels

As the title says... here's my winter setup.
Dunlop M3 Winter Sports mounted on ASA JH3's.

Sorry for the crummy pic quality, but you get the idea. Mounted them yesterday; so today was the first full day on them. No snow, but the temp was in the mid to high 30's all day.
My review thus far:
Definetely a noticable noise increase at freeway speeds. Though they provide a smoother ride then the stock 162's. Maybe it's just me; but they don't feel quite as solid or "planted" as the stock ZSP wheels... at least on dry pavement. Sunday night I ran to the mall during a torential downpour and these things seemed to grab hold of the road.

Either way, I've already found myself developing a "small wheel" complex. I sit at the lights looking around sheepishly since my car's missing the 162's and staggard tire setup. Already thinking I need to jump to 19's or at least some more aggressive 18's come spring.

I know what you mean about the "small wheel" complex! My previous QX4 had 20" 3-spoke chrome wheels and my winter setup were the stock 17" wheels. I remember once sitting at a light around early November with my winter wheels/tires on, bright sunny day, and next to me rolls up an Escalade with monstrous rims on it... I saw the same truck about a month later slip-sliding in the snow with the same wheels & tires... that sight stopped making me feel so inadequate the rest of the winter

The same setup I'll be getting for my 330i. Amazing how much smaller the rear wheels look in your first pic compared to 162s, though. Oh well.

Yeah... keep telling myself that once the snow starts falling, it'll all be worth it. But on these clear fall days, I wish I had the 162's on.
