19" M6 Reps - Offsets and Tires

So, I contacted a local wheel/tire shop about some M6 Reps. They have the wheels in a staggered set up 19 x 8.5 in front and 19 x 9.5 in back. They offer 2 different offset choices for both the front and the back.

In front = ET15 and ET38
In back = ET22 and ET40

I'm thinking that I have to use the 38 in front otherwise it will be way to aggressive and will rub. But in back, I'm not entirely sure... I think both offsets will work, just that one will be more aggressive. (if people have been able to use the 19x9.5 with a 22 offset with no additional modifications, I think I should go for that).

I also understand that the tires are a big aspect of rubbing or not. They're going to be 235s in front and 265s in back.

He gave me 3 different tires that I could choose from for the wheel and tire package (price includes wheels, tires, center caps, mounting, balancing, and installation)

Hankook Ventus K104 = $1650 [thinking of going with this package]
Toyo T1R = $1875
Nitto NT555 = $1925
* The wheels alone would cost $1000.

I was hoping to keep my cost of new wheels and tires at around $1500, but that doesnt seem to be happening. Which of these packages would you guys suggest/ are they a good deal?

One last thing I was thinking. I could buy the rims from this guy and order tires from TireRack, but then I'm not sure how much I'll have to spend in addition to that for mounting/balancing/installation. With respect to that, does anyone have experience with the General Exclaim UHP tire? They're rated #1 in the ultra high performance section on TireRack's site.

Sorry for this really long post, I hope people read the whole thing and help me out! Thanks guys!

Check out the pictures for the DC metro area meet. There are two separate (but similar) threads - one is in the picture gallery and one in the Mid-Atlantic gallery. There are photos of a new e92 335 with M6 reps. Looks great in person. I can't remember whose car that was but you can find out from one of the leaders of the meet. Check with him as to what he did.

Thanks, will do. That would definitely help me out with choosing the offsets, which I don't have AS MUCH of a problem of. The main thing I want help with is choosing the tires (either taking one of the 3 packages he offered me or ordering from TireRack .. including what installation at a tire shop would be.)

A good "suggested" fitment would be the et40 because there will be no rubbing issues what so ever. However, with the alternative offset that the shop is offering you, which is probably the mid offset which is a similar offset used by the E46 M3 (which can also be used on the rear of an E90, but is often an aggressive fitment), in some cases it is too aggressive and rubbing will often occure even when using a narrow tire, and this is both on a stock body e90 and especially the e90's with the sport suspension.

speedyj88, I have the General Exclaim UHP tires on my 19" stagerred set, they're great compared to my old 17" Bridgestone RE050A runflats, better traction in the dry and wet. I bought them after I saw those tirerack.com reviews, they have an M+S rating (mud & snow), so they're useable year-round in Chicago.
