Video review of the new F10 5-Series

It seems as though AutoSpies had alot of fun in Portugal during the BMW press events for the new 5-Series and 335is. They put up this excellent video review of the new 5er, which IMO is a must watch. It contains alot of information we all know already, but its nice to see these things in video. Hit play, sit back and relax

+1.

You don't like the ones in your E92 though? I agree they don't look normal, but it doesn't block anything, except for a AC vent.

But, almost every manufacturer has this problem. It's as if it's always an afterthought. My dad's E-Class (2008 model, not the new one) gives you either a cup holder or an armrest. That's even more ridiculous in my opinion, as they've fitted the cup holders in the armrest. If you want a cup holder, no storage compartment, and no armrest.

They ARE an afterthought. European cars generally do not have cupholders!

QFT. Do you really think the bolt-on cupholder in the 6 Series and Z4 is there by design?

Great video review, but the guy must have had a terrible camera or something. Him walking around the car with the camera shaking was annoying.

I agree. I meant to say they are an afterthought; said it incorrectly.

As much as I agree with you on the point that the 1/6/Z4 bolt-on cup holders are an afterthought, I somewhat prefer the design compared to anything else I've seen on cars recently. It's not in the way of anything, except when you have a passenger there (which I suppose is a lot of times for many people). But for me, I prefer that location.

I don't like the cup-holders on my E92 at all, the nestle water bottles that i put in there...not very big or long, when i enter the highway they always either fall out or tilt to a side...if the cap is a little loose, u get spills because of that....the cupholder is not deep enough to hold most bottles to be honest......anyway aside from this annoyance, i love my car
