Just got a call from BMW N.A.
wanted to know what I thought of my car, and comments. I told them they should consider offering low dust pads as a option. I feel some would sacrifice mileage for dust. I asked if they had a plan if Sirius combined with XM (not enough market for both). Would owners with Sat package be charged if retrofitted with XM receiver? Why not offer both as option. I gave them the ususal about sticky leatherette even with air on 71 degrees. How is that possible? They asked for improvements or comments on handling/performance. I told them I was happy. Last but not least, I asked if they monitor this forum or others like it? She said she wasn't aware this site existed. I told her SHAME SHAME SHAME. This is where other E90 owners communicate and share tips. She asked for the web site, and I gave it to her. She said this was a good idea. She thanked me and said I should receive a letter, and maybe a hat.

I really don't get the hang up on XM,
I've listened to both and the only thing better on XM to me, is the comedy channels. Sirius seems to have better rock, pop, rap, I was so dissapointed in the XM my friend had I put satellite radio in the "i don't need that" column I listen to octane, alt nation, shade 45, hip hop nation, hits one, all friggin day and i love it. Not sure about country, seems like both have a good amount of channels, not sure about content since I don't listen though. I really like that BMW calls like that, they talked to me as well. The didn't make a call when I got my other BMW, i think it may be a first year model thing |

I got the same call
I complained about the dusty brakes, and that I thought the brake pedal was a little too sensitive. (it makes heel and toe a little jerky) |

I like that you told them this fourm exists. They certainly need to read comments from owner and make attempts to fix them and solve the issues. I agree the brakes are too sensitive, they give a jerk when you stop the car.

Wish I could get a hat. It's nice that they call. When I had my MB and used to frequent those forums, it was not uncommon for an MB engineer to chime in on certain threads and answer questions. BMW should occasionally surf these sites - if they want 100% honest feedback this is where they would get it.

I think they would if they knew about it. I know they monitor roadfly and I think roadfly will delete or edit any posts about this forum.
Hell, I posted a ? on roadfly once and was contacted by someone from BMW NA, which I thought was very nice. |
