Do You Like The Front Amber Turn Lights?
I have to be honest and say that initially I wanted to get clear turn lights on the E90. I loved the clear turn lights on previous generation models. However, lately I am starting to like the amber turn lights on the E90 and would probably not go for any after market clears. It basically grows on you. Anyone feels the same way?

I'd like amber on the rear as well as the front. The clear front turn lights look sort of "flat" and lifeless.

I find that the amber in the headlights is truely one of the most dissapointing things about the US spec E-90's which is why i plan on spending over 2 grand on euro headlights when my car comes in... Even if I have to call a dealership in Germany and pay a translator I was quite surprised to see a 60/ 40 split though to be honest I would have thought the numbers would be the exact opposite... Oh well to each his own.

Would it be any different if I just change the yellow/amber lightbulb to a clear lightbulb?

I'd get the clear if the choice were mine. Clear markers look incredible on TiAg cars like mine. I wouldn't pay the 2k for aftermarket lenses though.

I definitely prefer the clear markers to the amber ones, but like bookman2 said, I don't know about paying $2K for the Euro housings...
not yet, anyway

I like the ambers except on Arctic, Sonora, Silver, Barrique and Electric Red. They seem to clash a bit with those colors.
I could go either way with the Sapphire, Jet, Alpine, and Graphite. I actually prefer the ambers with Mystic, Monoco and Deep Green. Always seems like clears on cars with those colors, past BMW's included, look like they are missing something to me. |

I just got back from Munich a month ago and the clear markers look much better than the amber...especially on black. However...2k is way too much just for clear blinkers and the amber kind of grows on you

On my last car, I went thru the "clear" phase by changing all the amber. I got some hassels from cops, and ricers wanted to race. Those two reasons alone made me associate the clears with modding and towards the end, I was sick of clears b/c every riced out car had them. I wanted to put the regular amber back in. So now, I really love the stock(for us in the US) look and feel like I've grown out of little things like that, not to mention the relief I now feel whenever I see a ricer or cop, it's alot better for me. I'm done modding cars, and all the negative things associated with modding, not to mention losing alot of money. This is the first car ever that I will leave as is. It helps that it's such a great package to begin with. Just buy and drive!

At first I use to like the clear ones but I get that I got used to it. Now I think that the Amber ones look better.

I have to agree with many of you that the clear lights look cheap and lack class. If I wanted a rice rocket, I would have gotten one. The amber lights really stand out and are extremely clean IMO.

A former E46 driver Ill never like amber.
Sorry but its gross and takes away from the styling of the car Its like wearing a huge orange reflector vest when going bike riding On some colors it is more bearable but I cant stand it on black I still love my car but wish I had clears |

At first I wanted clear but now the amber has grown on me as well, it adds something to it that the clear doesn't.

I think it depends on the color of the car. On AW they look good, but on SG I think clear looks better.
