Anyone have any methods or remedies to not get drunk/not be hit as hard when consuming alcohol? Maybe eating certain foods before you drink or certain chasers? Throwing up in between shots so you get the alcohol out? I'm asking a serious question on how to slow down intoxication or prevent it (if it's thats possible ) and "not drinking" is not an option lol as it will be my bday party...

but anywhozzle, if i'm trying to 'dampen' the effects (although i usually do this to make the next day a little more pleasant), try drinking 1 glass of water for every drink. or you could just have soda's between drinks to occupy you hand.

Lol this reminds me of my bday party last year. I got so fucked I completely passed out (on my bed cus it was at home). Anyhow, I usually eat rice a few hours before and drink water often when drinking. That's if you just want to get buzzed.

The thing is though, if you drink too much you're gonna get drunk no matter what. I mean there really isn't anything you can do to not get drunk if you know you will be drinking a lot (kind of an oxymoron if you ask me). The rice thing helps absorb some of it when you're drinking but yeah...

instead of traditional shot glasses, use thimbles.. or you could just get shitfaced. thats what i would do.

another option would be to dilute the shit out of your drinks (double or triple the parts of soda, juice, whatever)

I hear taking a few vicodin before you drink will keep you 110% sober.

Just drink on a full stomach, and if a drink tastes like raspberries, make sure that you know its vodka and actually does contain alcohol...or you'll end up wandering the streets of san mateo, pissing on random ppl's lawns.

Like the other guys said, have 1 glass of water after every drink. Also, eat some food beforehand and possibly while drinking.
To help avoid a hangover, stay away from anything mixed with soft-drinks and anything sweet; stick to liquor and soda-water, tonic, or tap water. And have a Gatorade before passing out if you can remember.

b12 vitamins before and after - it's a ritual for me when i know things will get serious

bread sometimes helps but theres been arguments against that. heard meals like steak and baked potatoes help. otherwise, just keep yourself hydrated throughout the night and PACE YOURSELF!

I had steak and potatoes for dinner the night of my 21st bday celebration. Definitely does not keep you from getting drunk. I ended up wearing the steak and potatoes at the end of the night, haha.

I actually asked my pharmacist cousin and there's nothing much you can do short of throwing it up that will prevent you or slow alcohol down from getting you drunk..I'm all good for getting drunk but I do really stupid things ( hooking up with ugly girls, toilet hugging, puking on myself ) and I'd rather not show that side to all my friends who will be there lol around 40 of them will be there. There's also 5 people so far who've guaranteed me I'll be shitfaced that night fuuuuuuu........lol I think I'm going to go with the puking strategy. Puke 1 out of every 3 shots and make sure I'm puking the cheap shots like smirnoff or bacardi.

it's not rocket science. drink a ton of water and don't drink on an empty stomach. drink your alcohol more slowly so you don't get shitfaced instantly.

if you get the spins or think you're about to pass out, you only have a few options.

1) puke: easy ticket out but it's not healthy and it's not fun.

2) don't close your eyes and eat bread: if you close your eyes and have the spins, it'll only make it worse. if you're about to pass out then get ready for a bitchin hangover and possible dicks drawn on your face.
