How bad are a couple misfires?

I had cyl 2 and 3 misfire tonight

I've cleared them

Can I just ignore them and go on with my life.. or do I need to do some extensive research and look into this..?

Mods:
Helix FMIC
RR DPs
JB3 1.4 Beta Map 5
91 Octane
13psi peak during WOT before SES came on and loss of power (immediately pulled over, turned car off then on again [light was no longer present])

Thanks :P

Added:
My car has about 114XX miles on it

been tuned since 2700 miles (JB+->JB3->DP->FMIC)

How many miles do you have on the spark plugs ?

Get them changed, wouldn't be surprised the cause for your misfire....

I've got misfires for a couple days during the week I had V3 Rev1. Now I uninstalled it and I cleared the code and no more codes for misfire popped up so far, but is it going to be fine? It feels like it idles differently nowadays and shake a bit more.

Sorry... read it as 114,000 miles on the same plugs.

However they do recommend to change spark plugs every 10K miles on heavily tuned cars. Doesn't mean you must do it.

Therefore very possible 1.4 Beta software might of caused it during cold WOT driving. Had a similar problem happened to me when weather dropped in low 50's. Terry strongly recommended upgrading to final release, which I did.

Also you're running MAP 5 with OCT 91. Recommended OCT is 93.

JB3 1.4 Map Guide for Reference:

Map 0:
-- Disables JB3, all signals pass through

Map 1:
-- Low boost map, boost levels of 11-13psi depending on mods and weather
-- Self adapts to modifications like intake, downpipes, exhaust, etc
-- 91 octane RM2 or higher required. The higher the octane, the more power.

Map 2:
-- Performance map, boost levels of 12-14psi depending on mods and weather
-- Self adapts to modifications like intake, downpipes, exhaust, etc
-- 91 octane RM2 or greater required. The higher the octane, the more power.

Map 3:
-- Identical to map 2 with additional low end response (aka lagfix)

Map 4:
-- Hotter Performance map, boost levels of 13-15psi depending on mods
and weather
-- Self adapts to modifications like intake, downpipes, exhaust, etc
-- 93 octane RM2 or greater required. The higher the octane, the more power.

Map 5:
-- Identical to map 4 with additional low end response (aka lagfix)

Map 6:
-- Designed to optimize bolt on performance
-- 93 octane RM2 or greater required. The higher the octane, the more power.
-- Richer midrange air/fuel ratios to sustain additional torque
-- May trigger hidden tuner detection codes. Purchase a Bavarian
Technic cable from BMS to scan for and delete any hidden codes before service.

Map 7:
-- Identical to map 6 with additional low end response (aka lagfix)

I'm assuming you were running Vish's Proceed tune. Sorry I don't have any experience with it therefor can't comment. My best advise is to speak to the maker of your tune.

Yeah I know 93 is best for Map 5, but I spoke with Terry, and since I have DPs and FMIC, and it's cold, it should 'be fine'

I rarely (sadly) go WOT
it's sad that when I do it this happens :/

can't wait for 2.0 Final :P

I know there are a couple people who posted in the high mileage threads that said they were over 100k.

It's either spark plugs, injectors, or both. If you get a check engine light in the near future it's the injectors, otherwise if you ONLY keep misfiring it's just the plugs.

My personal experience and two cents

I had a misfire on #6. In my case I had a bad coil. This is what you do. Scan it to find out which cylinder. Then swap out coil and plug to a good cylinder to isolate problem. Then change out plug and see if that fixes it. If not try to replace coil and see if that does it. If not then it's the injector and dealership it. Or you can take it to the dealer on the onset of the problem.

You could drive around w/ misfires but I don't think you could go WOT with one for an extended period of time without the computer throwing a code.

I would just ignore it unless it comes back but it could be your o2 sims. I had bms o2 sims and they worked great for months. Then all of a sudden I was getting misfires and no o2 sensor codes. Then I got the dreaded 2c31 and I got the v3 o2 sim and once I get the 2c31 code cleared then they will go away. Email terry because it is a common problem.

I'll be taking her in in a week or two

I needed some other stuff checked out that didn't have time last time, so I guess it'll all be done together...
I just wanted to make sure I could drive her no problem

I think I'll drop down to Map 3

I'm tired of having WOT problems...

Htown, how do I do all of that...?

Once you get a misfire for a certain problem than i think it must be fixed or you'll throw misfires over and over again.

Like in my case, i had misfires when i redline the car and hold the pedal floored and it would redline than upshift and when the gear changes it would SES and misfire. It would only happen with a tune and would happen every other time at first than disappear and not happen for a while but eventually came back when i was ripping the car again. Code will also sometimes be thrown with a Air manipulation code.
It was a bad injector so i got that repaced by the dealer and had no problems ever since.
