Winter Wheel & Tire pkg ordered and recd from TireRack

Based on recommendations of the forum members, I ordered a 17in winter wheel pkg (JH3 rims/M3 DSST tires) from Gary at Tirerack; incredibly I recieved the pkg the very next day. The BMW center stickers are already stuck on the wheels so I don't need to stick them on myself (I haven't opened the whole pkg, jist 1 tire).

I will swap the wheels next weekend and keep you posted - am ready with the torque wrench/sockets/jack etc.

Thanks Gary, you are the man!

cool

To be honest, I think the JH3s look better than most of the OEM wheels other than those new 230s. I love "simple" wheels with lots of space in them. It helped that they were so cheap too!

How about pics of the new setup. Have you put them on yet?

update

Sorry folks - the weather in NJ got much better (been in 50s and 60s) so I did not swap the wheel tire combo.

However, I do have an update; this Sat when I checked the pkg; one of the tires was at 0 pressure, so I took it to the local tire shop, filled it up and had the valve checked. Valve was ok, not leaking. I filled it to 35 lb psi and checked this morning - viola - tire lost 4 pounds down to 31 in 2 days. Called Gary who immediately called back and referred me cust serv; they have asked me to take it to a tire shop and have it dunked to check for the leak. They said if its a faulty valve stem they will reimburse the cost of replacing the stem; otherwise I would have to get back to them with the diagnosis and they would let me know what to do next. Will do this today/tomorrow and post an update.

Luckily I haven't mounted the pkg on the car yet so that tires are in original packing, brand new. Hopefully, Tire Rack will send a replacement.

I guess I'd better check and double-check my tire pressures before I mount them. Thanks for keeping us posted.
