Hi,
Can't seem to get the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 265/35/19 98Y Extra Load anywhere? Anyone have any luck getting hold of these tyres?

Ps 3 not available for 19s yet.
Anyone put continental 3 on rear with ps2 on front? I was told that michelin will be getting more ps2s in the country in 3 to 4 weeks.

Hi Donbona,
Did your car come with the Pirelli's or did you change to them from the Mich's?

I changed them when I changed the wheels.

No luck with the Mich's at least a 4 week wait on those.
I asked BMW if it was ok to have PS2's on the Front and another brand like Continental or Pirelli on the back and they said its fine as long as it is the BMW Approved tyre. Anyone know if this will affect the handling?

yup it will but it might be better rather than worse. For most people they won't notice it.

Personally I found that the Mich's felt like the road was always greasy even in the dry!

hi hitman
I've been trying to get hold of PS2's since end of last year but it seems they are all on back order and no one could tell me exactly when they were going to get restocked. My tyres were getting dangerously bald so I just went for the conti sport contact 3's which are bmw approved (also far cheaper than the ps2's) and so far i am very pleased with the result! It has loads of grip on english winter roads but thats only comparing to the cups I had before lol |

Hi bape,
Tell me about it ... I have called loads of places and no one has any and you are looking at least 4-6 weeks ... although Michelin can not give a definate date. Lots of lost business for Michelin. I have decided to go for the Conti sport contact 3's too. Just looking now to see who has the best price!

Finally managed to get some Michelin PS2's. Got them from Blackcircles.com. Had them fitted today.

Excellent news! Could you give some idea of the cost? I'll need to get a new set pretty soon.

Hi dar2008,
I only needed 2 rear tyres and they cost £330.00 each fully fitted.

I have also got the Pirelli tyres as I personally prefer them to the Michelin ones. I have found that the Pirelli tyres don't last that long as the rubber is soft especially when you get foot down! I got them delivered from an online tyre company best 4 tyres and I then got my mate to fit them.
