Chicagoland Dealers
About a month ago, I ordered a 330i for $1700 off of MSRP at Motorwerks in Barrington. The salesman was very nice to deal with, by the way. I would like to know how much other Chicagoans paid for their vehicle?
The reason I am asking you this is because Morowerks refused to gurantee the trade-in value of my FX35. Their original offer for the trade-in was $27,700 (2003 FX35 AWD, Sport Pkg., 27.5k miles) but I am pretty certain that they will lowball the trade-in value by saying that the car deprecicated in past two months and that I have 2.5k more miles on it. I am planning to counter them by arguing that people are getting more discounts compared to two months ago, so the depreciation factor of the trade-in shouldn't come into consideration. If the discount I got seems reasonable, how much cut should I accept on the above mentioned vehicle? The car is in exact same condition except being two months older, with projected mileage of 30k by the time the 330i is ready for pick up. I have put down a refundable deposit of $500 only, so I am willing to walk away from the deal if they insult me with the new trade-in offer. Last edited by Luongo; 08-19-2005 at 04:40 PM.. |

Bought my car at Patrick. I've not had good experiences with MW on servicing either my old e46 or my Honda.

Bought mine at BMW of Orland Park and they definately guranteed my trade ('02 530i) for the six weeks it took for my 330i to arrive. If you keep the mileage within a reasonable range and of course incur no damage, they should honor the agreed upon trade amount.
