Hitting 6-8rpm

I was wondering howcome everytime i redline the car and then i get this awful smells afterward can anyone tell me why?

What program are you using that you can smell through a video? SmelloVision?

its 8k rpm the engine is working really hard and that makes a smell?

Your question is really vague. It could be excessive brake use. Burning rubber from the tires. Or oil burning in your engine from driving aggressively...more details please. Like when does this occur? Often? Only after flooring it? At start up?

Btw if your hitting 8k in your 328i you should get that checked out...you'll definitely blow your engine. You're probably not but your thread title sounds like you are and if you are that's why you smell burning lol...because your about to blow your engine.

now and then ill be speeding with my friend i hit around 6000 rpm then it shifts then after i slow down i start smelling that awful odor
