This is probably as close to an easy fix that might work for ya.

nice, i was considering getting some bmw paint and painting plugs, but this seems like a much easier and cleaner option for $27. i live in CA and the cops from time to time decide to give me a no plate ticket while my car is on my freakin driveway, other than that, i really don't get into much trouble with the cops. car looks cleaner without the plate.

This topic has been covered a few times...search. There are bumper plugs that come painted to the paint code of your car or someone else bought plugs from home depot and painted them himself.

I filled mine in on the M and it came out so good you can't even tell it was ever drilled,
have a look at this thread with a few pics http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=332090 (there was also a few other mods I did to my M in that thread too) But filling it in is a possibility and am thinking of doing it to my E90 too

+2, get it done right or just keep the plate on there.

$2.75 at Auto Zone or Pep Boys. You just need to paint and clear coat it. You'll get the same result as the bumper plug except I believe you have to enlarge the hole if you buy the bumper plug.
You don't really notice the plug if you stand a few feet away. It looks way better than having a front plate.

I bought the plugs form autozone and painted them myself. I was going to buy bumper plugs..but if you have touch up paint already its much cheaper....and if you dont have touch up...then you will for future uses
Agreed, it doesnt look as nice as if it werent drilled in the first place, but def better than having a plate on there IMO...for those who say it looks "assy" lol |
