How to calculate the width of the way ?
Hi !
i have a small problem. Here in Europe we have special laws, espacially Switzerland. by us, for the wheels offset does not allow more than 1% of the width of the way ... Also 2% for both as show here : http://www.bmwusa.com/NR/rdonlyres/7...s_sedanjpg.jpg this width is 59.6 inches REAR how to calculate to which offset i can reach to stay street legal ? stock is about offset 37 or 34 right ? aftermarket wheels are often offset 40-30. But is a 22 or 20 offset OK with a 19 inches wheel ? i have some ideas of wheels (like CSL reps or BBS CH), but those 2 wheels are only real cool with a rear 19x10, also like Diesel007 has ... THANKS

So, are they saying you have to stay within 1% of the stock distance between wheel centerlines? If so, you just have to make sure the offset you get stays within 15.13mm, either way, of your stock wheel offset. This is just my guess at an answer to what you're asking so keep that in mind.

um, i dont think you have anything to worry about honestly.
i think they were just against those stupid raised Trucks or SUV's that are monster-truck wannabe's; those trucks or suv's that get wheels that have crazy offsets and stick half-way out of the fenders. almost like a car that went widebody with just the tires/wheels and without the fender mod. That just looks retarded.
