BMW key in both washer and dryer = ?

My BMW key was accidentally left in the laundry and went through both the washer and dryer cycles, but it still works! I couldn't believe it!

the only thing it might have done was weaking the glue holding on the roundel sticker/emblem.

I know I dropped my main one like 20+ times and she is still strong as ever.

some cool info, my SA told me that they make 8 keys total for any given car and keep them in a warehouse in new jersey. if you happen to lose them all then you have to pay A LOT of money to get the locks changed

What if someone breaks into that warehouse? Do they have the keys to all our cars then?

I was told the same thing but they are kept somewhere in Germany. Maybe it depends where the car is built, Germany or US?
