Mine's a different year, so I can't be sure, but I don't think so. I've got the sport package and my VIN decode listed my car as having "226 Sports Suspension Settings".

How does that question help interpret the breakdown of the VIN?

BTW, "704" for my car, as well. No listing for 226 on mine.

I would just think if he bought the car New - they might have mentioned the M Sport Suspension, and it would be listed on the sticker. If he bought it used (which he didnt) maybe the previous owner forgot to mention, etc.

The only hard data are what is printed on your springs. Take a peek under your fenders and find the tag -- it should read "D4" or similar. If you have a god set of calipers stick them on a coil and report thickness.

Go to the Official VIN decoder thread (OVDT). The person who started that thread is offering a very detailed breakdown of your car's standard and optional features--much more than is shown on anyone's window sticker.

For instance, on my window sticker, there is nothing indicating my car has an "M Sport Suspension". However, the VIN decoder is saying I do. In the OVDT, my car is listed in post #35 for reference.
