Breyton rims and winter tire setup
Please give opinions. Please remember these are winters and I wanted them to be functional but also look decent.

I guess it wouldn't fit in the dumpster...
Woooohooo, my first pathetic attempt at a flame! Can't do it. Nice winter set up Brian, nice MB Kent -- but what snow tires are you using to get around the lake effect blizzards? |

Yeah, I got that from your post earlier. I was asking the MB poseur what he was using to get around South Haven with in the winter. Trying to be friendly and all that... I am still waffling between non-rft Dunlop M3s, Contis, and Michelin alpin pilots. And I can't decide if I want to keep the OEM 162 rims for the snows and sell my rfts, then get summer 19" rims and PS2s. Or get rims for snows and just keep my stock summer rfts on the 162s. The rfts were getting such bad reviews, but a lot of folks now seem to like them. And the price of 19" rims w/PS2s -- ouch! I want a significant change for that amount of $. I wish I knew how much I could sell my new rfts for. If I could sell them for the price of the snow tires ($800) then I would be willing to pull the trigger and go full non-rft. I had ordered Pirelli sottozero 18" rft snows, but we know the name of that tune... Any thoughts on how the 162s will fare as winter rims? Some wheels are bad at collecting slush buildup and freezing, causing balance and clearance problems. |

162 would be fine but for me it didnt make much since getting snow tires for the stock rims and then trying to find other rims for the summer. I like the 162's and I also like my breyton/winter setup. So economically it made more sense to just get dedicated winter setup and then put 162 back on for summer months. The dunlops are quite the handling is not all that bad. They are not the stockers but for winters handle fairly well.
