That's actually an '06 with the M aerokit they offered this past year. The new '07s have black bumpers again, but with more painted areas and a inset painted grill in in the front.

The new X3's exterior design has improved a lot and I think it would be a nicer car with the new interior changes.

almost perfect combination of sport and utility, a bigger lean towards sport in the x3 than in the x5 though...

I had an 06 X3 3.0 sport for 2 weeks as a loaner.

I HATED IT. Harsh ride, ugly, cheap inside, slow, poor gas mileage.... I was WEEPING to have my E90 back after the first day!

Sorry about that. I was just driving through and assumed it was the new one. There was a Montego Blue X3 on the lot also - I saw the sticker on that one (2007)...just assumed this was another one.

Nope, I like the 335 but not enough to take the $$ hit. My car is almost a year old now and has been perfect. Dealer's just on the way to HD from my house. I did stop in and get the new accessory brochure, which I'll scan when I get a chance. I saw some new stuff - Montego 335i sedan (not decided on Montego yet

), gorgeous Deep Green/Saddle 335i coupe, new X3. They also a had CPO 2006 330i Arctic/Black/Sport in the showroom that looked very nice.

Tell me...has Jen let you drive HER coupe yet? Make her an honest woman and it's half yours in CA! On second thought it might be cheaper to buy your own

That is the new one because it clearly says 3.0si on the side which is the new engine. The sport package includes the painted body work. The regular models have the matte black plastic trim.

Guess I didn't know BMW was offering the M kit on the '07s as well. Good observation on the SI insignia.

Nice looking either way. We love our '05 X3, no matter what some think.

the interior is much better now and very different (at least in the us). It has leather in the doors like a 3 series (not on the 06 or earlier) different material on the top of dash which is softer and less plastic looking, and has wood all over the interior and not around only the shifter like it did in previous years. It also has a 3.0 engine with 260hp now instead of 225 with the old 3.0 in it. I would say there are differences for sure. Check it out again next time and you will see what I am saying. The interior is a lot better now.

most people that say bad things about the x3 have not driven one for a long time. For an SUV it handles great. The pre 07 def does not drive as good the 07 but it was a very good car IMO. The 07 with 260hp is a great car.
