Couple of tyre questions

Does anybody have the recommended pressures for:

Front - Michelin PS2 245/35
Rear - Michelin PS2 265/35

Also, I ran Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas on the 335d and found them to be a good performing all-round tyre. Is anyone running these on their M3?

Cheers

Ed

StevieHoops ran the vredestiens on his M3 and if I recall right didn't like them. Took them to the ring and apparently the car handled really badly on them.

Correct pressures are 33 front and 35 rear, or for a fast road setup 39 front and 44 rear.

Yep 37PSI and it runs like a dream, try it you may get 2/3 MPG more. If you carry a full load I set it too 38 Front 40 rear.
PS) 30PSI is way too low.

I wouldn't use vredestiens, had them fitted to my scooby and had two blowouts with them and the scooby dealer said I wasn't the first. In the end they stopped supplying them. I wouldn't fit them again!

One thing you must be careful of us the load rating, if these are not right it can make a car very dangerous and cause the car too handle like a boat, pmsl

Is this stated in the manual? How on earth can there be 9 diff for the rear. I easily feel a 2psi diff in the rear!

Ed I assume, is only asking for Coupe pressure.

The pressures are indicated in a sticker visible when you open the drivers door. I run mine in accordance with this and have no issues. Can't believe BMW and Michelin just plucked the numbers out of thin air, so maybe wise to believe their research is best and stick with manufacturers guidelines?

BMW recommend:

32 front, 35 rear - 4 adults - speeds up to & exceeding 100mph
41 front 44 rear - 4 adults & luggage - speeds up to & exceeding 100mph

A lot of positive feedback on the US section for Vredsteins though.
