TIRE PRESSURES on 19x8.5 and 19x10 with 235/35 and 260/30

Like the title states. My order of wheels are coming in this monday with those specs.

I would like to know what is the suggested tire pressure on the tires? I don't know much about wheels since these would be my first aftermarket set.

I prefer stiffer pressure so i can protect the lip of the wheels better; they are wheels with polished lip.

Thanks

you and me always up late. still in LI?

did you order the Lexion? silver, black or chrome? I think the silver looks good w/polished lip. I prefer BBS but for that style it'd cost double I guess.

Garage List
I'm running 30 front, 33ish rear in my eagle f1's gs-d3. i tired harder one day and i thought the ride was getting very bumpy and still, running them at this pressurei found them to have the greatest grip and comfort.

Soon though i will be changing back to my stock tires for the winter

Chalk line or wear triangle method.

There's no "right" pressure, it's dependent on your driving style and the specific tire (I almost got all snobbery and typed tyre ...).

So, what you do is fill it to a base line cold. And then you either draw a line with chalk perpendicular across the tread and onto the sidewall. Or you just look for the little triangles that point toward the tread block.

Now go drive around a bit, take some corners as hard as you like to etc. Now go back and look at the scrub line on the tread block or your chalk line. You want that to *just* intersect the very tip of those triangles. If it doesn't make it to the triangle, you're over inflated, if it goes past the tip into the body of the triangle you're under inflated.

Hopefully you can see what you're doing here ... you're getting the pressure compromise based on the tire and your driving style. If you don't plan to corner hard you can drop the pressure a little for comfort.

It's why you air up a little if you're planning on autocrossing/track day etc. There's no one 'this is the perfect pressure' for any tire because it all depends on how you're using it.

One other thing, if it rains a lot where you're at an under inflated tire is much more prone to hydroplaning than an over inflated tire so go on the high side.
