it is rubber, its not from the hood though, i looked for a similar one on one side and cant see it.

so yea. its way smaller but same freaking shape.

you are thinking of HEDP m433 though (gold top), the ogive has the roundness to it like this rubber thing.

HE has the almost the same shape ogive but the tip is distinctly flat.

They make them different shapes so you can feel them in the dark.
