"Powerbox"??? If it is a tune, absolutely take it out. It will be well worth it...

Just take it out. Some dealerships don't car, but most will try to void all your warranties if they find something like that. There is no reason they should be near the ECU for your first oil change, but I still would take it out.
Also how do you like the power box?? thinking about getting it for my car. |

Couldn't you just get your oil change done somewhere else (you'd pay of course)? This is more a general question for everyone, but does BMW care if you get your service done with them or not? Will the service light go off when it detects fresh oil or do you still need to take it to the dealership to reset that?

Just put the map setting at 0. When on map 0, only way to detect pbx, the act of physically opening up and looking at your ecu. At least what I've heard from others.
P.S I have a pbx in my car, got inspected, left map at 0 and everything turned out fine |

Sorry to Hijack, seems a good place to ask this.
I've had issues with my tacho needle going "spaz", reading weird and not showing correct revs. Am taking in to the dealership next week. I have an injen intake and also BMS powerbox. I'm going to need to remove both, aren't i?

Remove it completely and make sure that you're on the stock map before taking it back in. This way you can remove all variables which the dealer can use to fight against you. |
