Wheel squealing
Hi there guys I bought a 335i a few months ago and I am hearing a squeal from the front passenger wheel as I accelerate. My bmw dealer is shitty and i dont trust them. I took my car multiple times and they say its a break squeal. How could this be if its just happening when im going at slow speeds or accelerating, and NOT breaking? its also just coming from that one wheel...any help is appreciated, thanks!

Front passenger side
I have had the same issue for a long time.
The dealer can't find the problem, but my brother who checked my car said that the caliper piston might not be returning on time and correct distance. I believe we should make a group and approach BMW officially about this issue. Its highly unacceptable the answer that the dealers have given us: standard noise... many do it in normal condition... its a BMW thing... SHAME ON THEM!!! |

Add me to the list... same thing happens with me. I believe the issue is a result of the caliper bushing getting old and causing the pad to lightly scrape against the rotor. Maybe I'll try some antisqueek goo and eventually get back to you guys... but I wont be doing this for some time, so dont hold your breath.
Assuming it is the bushing, then we'll probably all need new calipers or, the cheaper method, purchase a rebuild kit and put on a new rubber bushing. |

Hey Guys,
Same thing is happening to me at low speeds especially while turning. Please keep me posted on the issue because I had the dealer assess and still no solution to the problem. |

I just got off the phone with BMW customer service today about hpfp problems as well as injectors/plugs. I think I may call my rep back and let her know about this.

Wheels squealing? Use your pimp hand and bitch slap it.
Seriously, squealing when accelerating? I would take the tires off and check out the rotors. If the rotors look fine then you may want to apply anti-squeal paste on each pad.

Here is a DIY. He applied anti-squeal on his brakes. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76418

I'm bumping this up because I've had this problem for a while. It's in the dealer today and I've now told them about it for the third time. My SA just called and said they can't replicate it. Bullshit! Its there constantly. I hear it everyday!
Edit: they finally heard it and found its coming from the rear. Just an FYI. Last edited by Couch; 06-28-2011 at 05:09 PM.. |
