Just Bought a used 08 335i OIL COOLER Question..
So I just found out that I DO NOT have an oil cooler installed in my car.. Is there any way I can have one installed by the dealer under warranty., I was reading through the long thread about the oil coolers but did not find any info one a used car installs.. Any info will help thank you..

No, they're not going to do it for free. No, you probably wont ever need one unless you plan on tracking it often. Even then, you'd probably just want an aftermarket one.

Still a good racing oil is more important than an oil cooler. Oil cooler is basically useless, once the outside air is hot. It only gives racers a few more laps than normal. Racing oils, tend to resist being heated up, so you are going to be much slower to build up temps.

BMW dealerships in the US, use whatever part number is available when you come in. The part number etched on your vehicle is european castrol edge 5W30, which isn't sold in the US to my knowledge. Total, and Motul, make good BMW approved racing oils.

Does the MSport have an oil cooler? I cannot see one in the wheel well (assuming I know what I am looking at)
