you don't need one unless your going to be racing at the track, in which case, it would be a better idea, for you to use a good racing oil.

No, they're not going to do it for free. No, you probably wont ever need one unless you plan on tracking it often. Even then, you'd probably just want an aftermarket one.

I'm never going to track this car. I just want to chip it and maybe and maybe do an exhaust and that's it.

If you "chip", it, you might need an oil cooler.

I already looked into it. A retrofit is crazy expensive! Your better of just running a good racing oil.

You dont need an oil cooler for a map and a chip. At most you'll be gunning stage 1 vishnu, map 3/5 JB3, stage 1 GIAC.

I run a JB+ at 75% on 91 octane in AZ (120 degree summers) without an oil cooler and still haven't passed 250, ever.

The cp-e™ ∆Core™ intercooler kit is a front mount intercooler upgrade for the BMW N54 engine. It
features a 3” thick bar and plate intercooler core good up to 750hp. The kit comes complete with an
inline oil cooler kit, all clamps, hoses, brackets, and hardware required for a complete installation.

For the last time, you do not need an oil cooler, unless you are racing the vehicle. In which case, you will need racing oil to keep the temps down, because those who have tracked it with regular oil, and an oil cooler, still go into limp mode.

Still a good racing oil is more important than an oil cooler. Oil cooler is basically useless, once the outside air is hot. It only gives racers a few more laps than normal. Racing oils, tend to resist being heated up, so you are going to be much slower to build up temps.

Do you know what oil BMW uses when they change it? What are some racing oils you speak of?

BMW dealerships in the US, use whatever part number is available when you come in. The part number etched on your vehicle is european castrol edge 5W30, which isn't sold in the US to my knowledge. Total, and Motul, make good BMW approved racing oils.

Does the MSport have an oil cooler? I cannot see one in the wheel well (assuming I know what I am looking at)

You sure you bought an '08 then? I was under the impression that all '08 and newer 335i coupes had oil coolers
