FEELER: OEM M3 bumper retrofit for non-M

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone is interested in an OEM M3 bumper retrofitted for non-M. I know this often cost lots of money, and I do not have the bumper yet. This is going to be retrofitted by Longtran. I am just wondering what people are willing to pay for it. I have no pictures, but you can look at 'Kriston' 's thread, it should be very similar. He has an M3 front retrofit without fenders, so it'd look like that. Wondering if anyone is interested to pay 1300 primed and not painted. 1600 painted? Is that too much? This is not replica but OEM M3 bumper. Just a feeler. I'd post pics next weeks when it is on my car. Thanks.

Seems a little high considering that you could buy the full m3 kit from **********s for less than that. But then again, that's OEM.... I'd drop the price regardless!

Well, Consider the price of the M3 Bumper OEM alone. It could cost up to 700 New. With all the labor and modifications, isn't 1600 fair for painted? Keep in mind that OEM parts would not depreciate as much as replica's and better quality. And the paint is fresh and brand new according to what your color is.

Yes. I am getting longtran to retrofit an OEM M3 bumper to fit my 328i coupe. Well, mine would be done next week. I'd post pics later in another section to keep you updated. That's why I'm asking members if this premium price is reasonable because this work is rare and stuff.

so are u getting it retrofitted and then selling it? or asking others if they want to do the same thing....? either way i think most people would rather just get the replica since the fitment is pretty much dead on.

Is he hacking up your oem bumper + new oem m3 bumper so the fitment would be dead on? I think 1300-1450 would be good considering no oem fogs.

Well I'm going to do it first, and Yeah, I'm wondering if anyone else is interested. Really? You'd rather get replica? I agree that Replica is much cheaper, but once I heard OEM I changed my mind, considering:

even IF you get a replica for $450+tax+shipping=$600? + Paint= maybe $1000ish?. It is almost equal the same thing. Keep in mind that these prices for both does not include vents and Mesh.

An OEM M3 bumper would definitely have better fit for vents, not to mention the quality of the bumper itself. The weight, etc. $450 is made from FRP, once it cracks or whatever it is more expensive to fix, and not as durable as OEM part. Considering $1000ish for Replica, V.S $1500 for OEM?
And OEM retrofit has a much better resale value.

Sure, Ghost170, I'd keep you guys updated about the fitment and everything. I'd be taking pictures and showing off my M3 conversion on another thread once its done by Long, hopefully by next weekend. =)

why will you do if the M3 replica PU sold by jlevi and vendors have excellent fitment. plus you can order them from germany with fenders for 1600 shipped to usa. no need to hack something that you can buy with perfect fitment.

m3 Bumper

have you even installed the one Jlevi sells on your car? I would truly consider trying that before doing all this bc its OEM. the PU fits like a glove and you can kick the shit out of it and wont break. 450 plus paint, 700 wth OEM paint and perfect fitment and durable product.

Well, you're in NJ, and you won't ship. Hahaha.. 450 is for **********s, jlevi sells his for much higher. And it won't be coming in until next month. Well, its a customer choice. Yes u can get fenders and bumper for 1600 but its not painted. With paint it can reach 2000+.. Ask kriston.

I know, I was referring to my other post. I'm sure yours has good quality. Someone should grab yours if they are in NJ. I would if it was JB and in CA. But retrofit bumper looks alittle different

Juan, let me know when u have the bumper complete. I,ve seen the oem retrofit, and it fits great. All the copy m3 bumpers i,ve seen were off, even ones made of pur. The material was thin.

I don't think JL has m3 reps for e92 non-m. I know they have it for the e90's but not e92.
