2nd gear?

Today I was driving down the road today in my 335i and I noticed shifting into 2nd was a little harder than normal. So I took it easy for the next few hours and it stills feels like a slight struggle to get it into 2nd.

Is it just my imagination because I drive it a little rough or is it actualy a problem that could become worse? And most importantly, would my warrenty cover it?

It seem that all the 3 series do this. I drive the 325i and the shift from 1st to 2nd is slugish. I think it has something with the 6 speed transmission these cars have. if im not mitaken they use the same one.

I'll bet your synchro is not meshing right. You're probably overdue for a transmission fluid change... it should be done every 30k miles or so, regardless of what lies they tell you in the manual.

yeah I'm currently about to reach 27k on it. I don't even know when I need to take it into service because I bought it earlier this month

Is there any way to easily check the transmission fluid level in a MT?
