getting all misted up!
Guys,
Anyone else having problems with the windows on your e90 completely misting up some mornings / cool evenings? I have noticed on at least 3 occasions in the last month, whilst getting into my car in the morning that I have to wait for the heater to un-mist the windscreen. And I'm not talking about the normal mist up moments we all have, this is full scale EVERY window. I have owned many cars and pretty much all of them mist up at some point but this does seems a little excessive. Am I worrying about nothing? |

I've noticed that lately too, though we have been having very wet horrible weather just recently. I'm fairly near you in North Bucks. I just changed from an E60 (5-series) to E92, so I thought it was caused by having a smaller car.
I have found the car de-mists quite quickly though, so I haven't worried about it too much.

Is it just you getting into the car or a few people? - I've never noticed it on mine although I do tend to drive on my own for the most part.

It is slighty worse with my family (wife and son) but I acknowledge what you are about to say, the thing is it's REALLY bad. I have never experienced being "misted up" like this before in ANY other car I have owned! |

I had this happen in my previous E46, if i left the aircon on all the time the screen cleared.
Not had this yet in the E90, but i havent had it that long yet. |

Mine has been bad a few nights on leaving work - fan on full blast - takes about 2 minutes to clear. It doesn't always do it though, only when the sun has been on the car during the daytime.
How old is your car? Could it be that the pollen filter is waterlogged?

To add: I do notice (since the weather has been cooler) that I more often than not have slight condensation build up on the lower section of my rear window. I do have sun protection glass on rear glass windows so I wonder if this may have something to do with any of this? |

Nobody mentions whether they keep the air con on, or have it it economy mode. My Z4 tends to mist up when the air con is switched off, but as soon as you switch it on any mist clears quickly.
