vmax in the 335i coupe
Since the break-in of my 335i has now officially come to an end, Iīve decided to see how it performs at higher speeds.
Here are my observations. - the car still presses you into the seats if you floor it at 180km/h (112,5mpg). Nice... - the step shifts precisely at the redline, that kind of scared me the first couple of times because I didnīt 100% trust it that it actually would - wind noise is very high at 250km/h, especially around the sunroof area and the side windows. Very unlike my former E60 - can t get used to the limiter (260km/h on the speedometer). Even in 6th gear the car pulls right into the limiter, I would think it could do at least 280km/h, probably more. You have to easy off the throttle all the time or the car will hit the limiter over and over.... - mileage at high speed sucks... - ...and in case youīre wondering, the oil temperature went right up to 125C (257F), no more. That was after 5 minutes of flat out vmax Since Iīll be getting winter tires next week, youīll be hearing no more of this nonsene until spring |
