I wanted to get the 335i coupe but they didn't have any left and so I just got the 328i as a lease... And then jump on the new 335is or maybe an M3 depending on how big my pockets are lol,
so what the max HP you can get without dropping a turbo or Supercharger??

328i is very limited in terms of hp upgrades. You should have waited for a 335i...
yea +1

you can squeeze like 30 hp but its a waste of money, just keep the 3k and save it for the 335

Like everyone's said, it's pretty much a waste to sink $10K in performance mods on a 328. There's tons you can do cosmetically however, but if performance is your thing I'd save my money and plan on a 335.

if you got the 328 as a lease, why bother doing power upgrades? it'll be more of a biatch to part out and sell later. surprised you couldn't find a 335i coupe, plenty of great lease deals on 2010 models in my area (< $450/m).

If it's a lease why bother.

You would need a intake, exhaust, and a PBX to get some decent gains.
The exaust will set you back about a grand the intake can run from $300-$700, and the pbx is around $270. The PBX is the main factor here but if you take the car in for service and they find it, you will be FUBAR.

Tune: BMS Powerbox
Intake: Injen, AFE, or BMW performance.....I went with Injen
Exhaust: BMW Performance, Ikon, Eisenmann, Remus, Dinan, muffler delete, there is more but most people have what i mentioned!

I bolded what i have in my car

You can go with Arma supercharger but its $12k, with this kind of money, you could've got a 335 and mod the shit out of it and you'll still have money left over lol

335i owners, why didn't you just get an M3 instead of wasting thousands of dollars on mods ? I bet you just love to send 328i owners to a corner...

OP, if I would have a 328i I would try to squeeze all the juice from that engine. I would go for the BMW Performance Intake, BMW Performance Exhaust and BMS PowerBox for a clean job.

What where did you find a 3k difference between a 335i and a 328i? Your crazy to not have taken that offer. Why didn't you just wait a few more months an get an IS if thats the case?

It has nothing to do with a superiority complex... the simple truth is just that the 335i engine responds extremely well to a few affordable mods while the 328 can be a huge money pit without much return in the performance department.... we're not being a**holes... just letting OP know that he shouldn't have too high expectations or spend too much money on this...

btw, we also did provide some good advice on which route to take

That's pretty much that case with any forced induction car not just the 335. If you want big gains from your modding bucks then do not get NA car.

I think the newer SAE J1349 lists the "giant spoiler" at 17.3 HP? The "medium spoiler" is unaffected at 11.9 HP.
