Best Cable + Internet Provider in Socal (near Westwood)
So is Time Warner the only cable, internet provider in LA? I checked Verizon fios but they dont have service in my area (zip 90069).
I heard TW's internet likes to cut out randomly but I guess that depends on the area.

It DOES cut out randomly! TW sucks around here. They provide for our entire building and at times, no one in the complex will be able to do any work because the Internet decides to stop. I'm in 90024.

I have Time Warner Turbo (15down/2up) cable modem at home and it's great in my opinion. I'm a Microsoft and Cisco certified network engineer and I highly recommend Time Warner business class to my customers. Time Warner home service does at times have issues with their DNS servers, which customers perceive as service outages, however you can simply change the DNS servers on your router/NIC to public DNS servers such a OpenDNS, and that will completely eliminate the problem from arising.
FiOS is pretty good, and I absolutely HATE all ATT products and services! |
