Climate Control unit can i clean it some how?

Ok so this is what happend i was driving my car and hit a pot hole and pooof icetea came out of the cup hold and spilled. i pulled over n cleaned my car as much as i could but now some of it has gone inside the climate control unit like the left knob that changes temp also the air flow button n 1 of the speed button. I was thinking abt removing the unit and trying to get inside the buttons if that is possible or do i have to buy a new climate control unit let me know. I have a 2006 330xi
thanks a lot
