How many miles over the posted speed limit? If 5 over or less, it may not add points.
If you do get a point, you can go to traffic school to get rid of it as long as you haven't gone in the past 18 months. Did you go to traffic school for your last ticket? If you can't remove the point, then your insurance will go up but not until you renew. How much it goes up depends on a lot of factors (age, driving history, time driving, etc). Good luck.

if you've taken traffic school in past 18 months, go to court and ask judge for tier2 traffic school. you shouldn't get any points and it shouldn't affect your insurance although i believe insurance companies will see that you completed the second traffic school.
oh, and stop speeding or get a v1 or escort.

you answered your own questions. Yes you will get a point and yes insurance premiums will rise slightly. Cant do traffic school to relieve yourself of the point this time since its within that 18mo period since ur last...

Yeah there is a second traffic school that you can take that is longer than the normal 6-8 hour. The point will still show up on your record and the insurance company can still see it, but its up to their discretion wheterh or not to increase your premiums.

all above are correct. to me, i wonder how would the insurance company even consider not raising the premium. seeing that you took the second traffic school shows that u violated the laws twice comparing to taking the traffic school the first time where the insurance company doesnt even get to see it.

Thanks for the spell check (on a black berry and I just typed it without checking)
Traffic school for second offenses hides the ticket from DMV? so essentially it is like your first speeding ticket, only you can not take the online course? |
