Synchromax in 6MT
I had the workshop swap out my 335i’s 6MT fluid for Royal Purple Synchromax today.
Have only driven a few km’s so far but shifts feel slightly smoother. The shop said RP is American nascar junk and he wouldn’t put it in a German car. He also said something about it possibly damaging the lining – does this make sense to anyone?? He’s by no means an authority on the topic and neither am I. I’m just after some feedback from people here on their thoughts? I know a few people have made the switch. With all my mods I was simply after something that would handle the additional stress and help smoothen shifts which is what this product reportedly does... |

Plain Jame E90330 6MT here.
I recently changed the 6MT to RP Synchromax transmission oil and along with the oem ssk, feels great. Doing the RP max gear oil soon for the rear differential. Danny

Royal Purple is great, but I've been leaning to the redline fluids lately.

I'm just waiting for my car spit to spit that purple garbage out and lock up on me as punishment...real OEM stuff has the caviar the car needs...
Kinda expecting the rear diff to do the same once it see's Royal Purple Max gear oil...sacrilegious I say... Danny
