Anyone down for a 626 caravan to Bimmerfest?

A few of us are thinking about caravanning to Bimmerfest on Saturday. I was thinking we could all meet up at the Starbucks parking lot in Alhambra around 7:30 AM and depart around 8:30 AM and take streets to the event. I am imaging that it may take some time to get in the lot.

Here is the address for the Alhambra Starbucks. They open at 5:00 AM so you can get your coffee and pastry before driving out.

NOTE: I hear there will be lots of cops out and about. I suggest having your front license plates on.

Show Hours and Parking
Bimmerfest 2010 sponsored by HorsepowerFreaks opens at 9:00 AM and runs until 4:00 PM. All BMWs are part of the show with parking costing $20 per car -- no cost for your passengers!

There will be two entrances to the show and the parking staff will help direct you to whatever gate is currently able to accept cars. The two entrances are off of North Arroyo Boulevard and West Drive.

If you choose to take public transportation to the show, plan on parking somewhere else or getting to the Rose Bowl any other way -- there is a $10 walk-in ticket price. All children under 12 years old are free.

Hey Andy, I was there until most people started heading out then a few of us went to the Alhambra meet. I arrived at 9PM an dstayed about an hour.

Good deal Danny. I'll put you down as a maybe. Remember the earlier you get there the better parking you will get. It will be a mad house. 2000 cars showed up last year.

Very cool Andy. This may turn out to be a good little caravan. If any or all of us want to hang out at the event we could make a fnu time out of it. It people want to go their own direction that is cool too. Any which way we all slice it I think we will have a great time. I need to leave my credit cards at home
