Push? Doesn't it have to be pulled out? Or do you push at the top to grab the bottom and pull it out? I'd like to write the right procedure in the event I ever need to remove it, as roadside assistance people just pry them out with a screwdriver, with the obvious consequences.

OP, shoot a video (or pic) of how to do it . Thx.

push the top in and the circular cap will spin around and pop out. Than screw the shaft in loosely, and than adjust the nuts to align the tow hook.

Do you spin it clockwise or counterclockwise? No tools needed, right?

Should have looked at the cap when I had the bumper down, but didn't occur to me. Hey, is the rear the same? Need to write this on the manual so I don't forget; you DON'T want anybody prying it or it'd get damaged. Thanks man.

you dont spin it clockwise, or counterclockwise. You simply push the top and it spins into the bumper. Continue pushing the top and when it spins about 90 degrees, it will just come out. ill try to make a video tomorrow if i can.
