Need advice on sevice

Hello I need advice on weather or not to take my car into service. I had a [B]sstt turbo tuner installed about two weeks ago, I took it out because the half engine light came on a few times at full Wot and then went off, then once it made a strange poping noise and the power felt very week and then back to normal, anyway I took it off about two weeks ago and have been running fine since until today the service light came on. I just ordered a BT tool but am wondering if I should be okay to take it in to sevice or should I wait to check for codes I still have my warranty and don't want any problems. Any advice would be helpful thanks.

Definitely scan for codes before going to the dealer.
