O2 sim is it a must?

I just recently uninstalled my v2 o2 sim and i was thinking about selling it because i could hust live the SES light, But i did here from another poster that without it the car runs more lean. Can anyone clarify that for me?

That should not be the case because the air-to-fuel ratio is controlled by the first set of O2 sensors which are in front of all catalytic converters.

Why would you do that? It's not like the 02 sims cost an arm and a leg. But, if you can deal with the SES light being illuminated all the time, you should be good running without it.

well ya as long as it does not mess up performance then iam fine with it. But if their is someone here that knows any technical stuff about it not being installed than that would change my mind about it.

I guess your not in US? Bc you will probably have a tough time getting this vehicle inspected with that light on.

Yea idk why it would be such a big deal. I would personally not want to drive around with the SES light on permanently.

ya i guess iall just throw it back, I guess if their is a 1% chance it messes up performance thats a chance iam not willing to take.
