at how many miles should i clean my air intake, filter?

Check it during your oil change.

If it's dirty, replace it. If you have re-usable filter, clean it and apply the right solution for filter cleaning.

This is why the aftermarket filters like aFe, K&N, and etc. all pay for itself. No more buying brand new filters everytime it needs to be cleaned.

its the stock one cant you just air it down? like get a compresser and blow out all the dirt?

That'll get rid of particles on top of the surface, but what about the grime and dirt that's been embedded in the actual filter element?

It's better to go with aftermarket filter that flows more and filters better than the OEM panel filter.
